Mission:
The Bacon’s Club designed to support language learning and acquisition through various interactive and technological methods. The rationale of the club typically revolves around fostering a deep appreciation for critical reading and thinking, language proficiency, and creative depiction among the students. The club intends to foster a love for languages, enhance communication skills, and provide a platform for detecting their skills and enable them to be successful in the global scenario.
Role of the Club:
  • The club aims to cultivate a love for literature in its diverse forms and involves inorganizing reading sessions, discussions, and book reviews that encourage members to explore their skills.
  • The club initiates to improve members' language proficiency in English and conduct activities such as vocabulary-building exercises, grammar workshops, and writing challenges aimed at developing both written and spoken communication.
  • The club offers a platform for members to express themselves creatively through writing, recitals, product descriptions, or even explaining about technical issues. It fosters an environment where imagination and literary experimentation are encouraged and celebrated.
  • The club initiates to provide a dynamic space where members can deepen their understanding of literature, enhance their language skills, unleash their creativity, explore cultural diversity, and contribute positively to the society and the humanity.

About the club
The Bacon's club was inaugurated on October 13th, 2023 by Dr. A. Albert Raj, Principal, and Rev. Sis. Arockia Mary, Administrator, along with the faculty members of Science and Humanities and the students of the First Year Department. The club is initiated by, Mr. Benitto Assistant Professor of English. Then Bacon’s club plans to conduct four activities to the students for each academic year. The main aim of the Bacon’s club is to develop the reading skills among the students and make interest in reading books and expand their knowledge in communication.

Activities:
  • The event, “Crew Challenges” included Bacon’s Club Talkathon contest on 14.6.2024 in which 50 students participated in the activity. The event was lead by the Club-in-charges. /li>
  • Bacon’s Club accumulated nearly 50 students for Fun with Words program on 14.6.2024. Incorporating "Fun with Words" activities into language learning makes the process enjoyable and helps students develop a love for language
  • Bacon’s club systemize reading activities on 13.10.2023. Twenty students have participated in the event. The event was organized by Ms. Nishiya Heart Assistant Professor in English
  • Bacon’s club led a Tongue Twister competition for I year students on 13-10-2023.Nearly 20 students have involved in the activity. The event was assisted by Mr. Benitto. Assistant professor of English
  • Bacon’s club introduce an event named snap talk to the students and was conducted on 16 th October 2023 at Nano auditorium this event was facilitated by Mr. Benitto Assistant professor of English.
