About the Department

Established in 2009, the Department of Civil Engineering has seen consistent growth alongside its parent institute, producing many successful graduates. With 30 students and 4 faculty members, the department integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application, emphasizing critical thinking, technical proficiency, and ethical responsibility. Through strategic partnerships, it innovates in research and education, supported by good infrastructure. Currently, one staff member is pursuing a Ph.D., and the department has signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) to enhance collaboration in infrastructure development and sustainability.

All Academic Labs

Structural Lab

The Structural Lab is designed to provide hands-on experience in the analysis and design of various structural elements. Here, students can conduct experiments related to the strength and behavior of construction materials, study the responses of structures under different loading conditions, and verify theoretical concepts through practical application.

Highway Lab

In the Highway Lab, students delve into the principles of transportation engineering. This lab focuses on the design, construction, and maintenance of highways and pavements. It includes facilities for testing materials used in road construction, evaluating pavement performance, and understanding traffic flow and control systems.

Design Lab

Our Design Lab serves as a creative space where students can apply their engineering knowledge to design and simulate civil engineering projects. Equipped with advanced software and tools, this lab allows for the modeling, analysis, and optimization of various engineering structures and systems, fostering innovation and practical problem-solving skills.

Environmental Lab

The Environmental Lab is dedicated to the study and analysis of environmental processes and the impact of engineering projects on the natural world. Students can conduct water and soil testing, analyze pollutants, and explore sustainable engineering practices. This lab supports research in environmental protection, waste management, and the development of eco-friendly technologies.

Strength of Materials Lab

In the Strength of Materials Lab, students examine the mechanical properties of different construction materials. This lab is equipped with testing machines to measure tensile strength, compressive strength, hardness, and other material properties. Through hands-on experiments, students gain a deeper understanding of material behavior under various forces and conditions.

Surveying Lab

The Surveying Lab provides students with practical experience in land surveying, a fundamental aspect of civil engineering. Students learn to use various instruments such as theodolites, total stations, and GPS devices to measure distances, angles, and elevations. This lab equips students with essential skills for mapping, construction, and infrastructure projects.
