Vision:
Shakespeare's Club is envisioned as a dynamic and inclusive community dedicated to bring together enthusiastic students and offer a vibrant and engaging platform where they can explore their skills, promote their personal and societal ideals and contribute to the welfare of the society.OBJECTIVES:
- Enhance knowledge and understanding of literary works through study groups, lectures, and discussions.
- Provide opportunities for members to participate in discussions and view performances of real-life role plays.
- Encourage creative interpretations and adaptations of technology
- Foster a sense of camaraderie and shared passion for communication among members.
About the Club:
The Shakespeare club was inaugurated on October 13th, 2023 by Dr. A. Albert Raj, Principal, and Rev. Sis. Arockia Mary, Administrator, along with the faculty members of Science and Humanities and the students of the First Year Department. The club is co-ordinated by Ms.Nishiya Heart, and Mrs. S. Vijaya Prabhavathi, Assistant Professors, English Department. The club aims to help members achieve fluency, cultural competence, and a deeper appreciation for the rich tapestry of the world's linguistic heritage.Club in charges: Ms. Nishiya Heart & Mrs. S. Activities:
- Shakespeare's Club sort out a fantasy narrative prompts designed to inspire writers, role-players, and game developers on 13.10.2023.The unique fantasy narratives spark creativity of the students
- Shakespeare's Club organizes a Products description competitions were conducted to encourage creativity of the students on 25.11.2023
- Shakespeare's Club steered Spell Bee Competition on 25.11.2023 to foster a culture of learning and achievement. The event was lead by Mrs. Johnsy. More than 100 students participated .
- Shakespeare's Club conducted Essay Writing Competition on 27.3.2024 with a motive of encouraging the participants to express their ideas and arguments coherently and persuasively.
- Shakespeare’s club assembled an advertisement creation program on 14.6.2024. Nearly 60 students from I year participated in the program. The event was organized by the faculty of English Department. The participants designed and develop advertisements to promote products, services, or social causes.
